EASTERN UNDERGRADUATE REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVE'S MESSAGE
Hello! My name is Marisa Franco and I am a second year PhD student in counseling psychology at The University of Maryland College Park. My research focuses on race-related stressors for Black/White Biracial people. Specifically, I am interested in experiences of racial invalidation and racial discrimination from family members. In addition, I am interested in the intersection between race and class, particularly Black racial identity development for upper/middle class Black people. In my free time, I enjoy beating people at ping pong and Taboo. This year, I am excited to serve as ABPsi's eastern graduate representative.
