Cashuna (Shun) Huddleston, MA, is a native of Tupelo, MS and is a third- year doctoral student in the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Houston, Houston, Texas. Cashuna received her BA in Psychology at Grambling State University and her MA in Clinical Psychology at Texas Southern University. She has been of service to the Association of Black Psychologists for over 5 years, for both the local and national chapter. Cashuna has worked for Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine for 5 years overseeing various research projects that have focused on the physical and mental health of our veterans.

Cashuna's passion for improving the physical and mental health of the Black community has led her to conduct research, write manuscripts, and present in this area at national and local conferences. Her other research interests are health disparities, psychosocialcultural antecedents of health behaviors, and health promotion and prevention. Cashuna's future goals are to work in a hospital setting and eventually have a private practice.
