Felicia Swafford is a second year doctoral student at the University of Cincinnati with a research focus in Industrial Organizational Psychology. Previously, Felicia did research in Public Health at Georgetown University. She collaborated with SAMSHA to help develop and implement outcome and process measures for drug abuse treatment programs for women and their children. She was also an intern for the American Psychological Association in the public Interest department. She worked on the presidential task force on Immigration with vital assistance in background research and editing. After undergraduate school, Felicia decided to pursue her graduate education at The George Washington University in Organizational Sciences. After receiving her Masters from George Washington University, Felicia conducted research at GW studying women in leadership and how they negotiate in the workplace. Currently she is working on a project to increase underrepresented minority groups in Stem fields, especially in academia. She is also interested in work/life balance among couples who are dual-career. On her down time, she loves traveling, swimming, wine tasting, and enjoying quality time with friends and family.
