Student Circle - Eastern Regional Representative:

Tashica Clarke

Tashica Clarke, a graduate of Iona College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, is currently a graduate student as a part of the Iona Graduate Program of School Psychology. Her passion for working with teens is what has led her to pursue a Masters degree in School Psychology specifically geared towards working with adolescents grades 9 through 12.

Over the past two years, she has served as Assistant Director and Interim Director of the Scarsdale Teen Center for a year and a half and six months respectively.  Working as the Interim Director, Tashica was responsible for directing a not-for-profit organization providing cultural enrichment, community service, and recreational programming to 2500+ adolescents. Outside of er responsibilities at the Teen Center, she also had the opportunity to work with the at risk population of Westchester County during her internship at the New Rochelle Outreach Center and as a Consulting Project Coordinator with City School Alliance for Violence Reduction of the New Rochelle Youth Bureau to increase community awareness of alternative programs and activities available to youth.

Tashica is now looking forward to working with school aged children for the 2009-2010 school year as a school psychology intern.  Along with these responsibilities, Tashica has assumed the role of Program Director of the Scarsdale Teen Center where she will help to foster the intellectual, social, and physical growth of Teen Center participants by providing a meaningful and enjoyable Teen Center experience.
