Student Circle - Secretary/Historian:

Jessica Roberts

My name is Jessica Roberts and I am honored to continue serving as the Student Circle’s Secretary/Historian. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. I received my B.A. from Columbia University where I majored in Psychology and minored in American Studies. I am currently a second year graduate student at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in the Adult Clinical Psychology program. My research current interests include social support, friendship and personality correlates and their relationship to depression in African American Adolescents.

As the Secretary/Historian, it is my goal to continue providing structure and organization within the Student Circle’s Central Committee. I also hope to continue communications between the Student Circle Central Committee members and the Student Circle general body by keeping the students aware of the plans of the board. I believe it is important to learn from the past in order to move forward and understand who we are today. I will keep detailed records that will document our procedures so that other members might use the information as a reference and foundation for the continuity and stability of organization in the future. I am excited about the future and the legacy of the Student Circle.

If you have any pictures, stories, or memories that you would like to share with the rest of the tudent Circle, pass on to the generations to come or simply archived in the Student Circle history, please feel free to contact me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
