 | Student Circle -Research Committee Chair: Christopher Ray Chris Ray is a second year Doctoral Student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is pursuing his degree in Counseling Psychology. He is an alumnus of Michigan State University and Morehouse College where he earned his master’s degree in Counseling and bachelors degree in Elementary Education respectively. As research committee chair, Chris will work to increase the opportunities which are available for students to publish research and contribute to the advancement of the field Psychology. In addition, he is invested in working with the other members of the Research Committee to compile a document which will contain some “Best Practices” for working with African Americans in therapeutic settings. These projects will provide opportunities for Student Circle members to work with ABPsi and the Student Circle to develop workshops and trainings which are relevant to students educational needs and important for their development as Psychologists with an African American cultural competence.
