MiKeiya Morroe

Southern Graduate Regional Representative:

MiKeiya Morrow
University of Kentucky, Counseling Psychology Ph.D.

MiKeiya Morrow is a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kentucky and a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma with a M.A. in Counseling Psychology. Her research interests include maternal parenting practices and attachment in African populations and high risk sexual behaviors and sexual revictimization in females. MiKeiya’s career goals are to teach at a major research institution and create culturally appropriate treatment models aimed to improve the quality of life of persons of African descent and trauma survivors.

MiKeiya has been actively involved in ABPsi since joining the organization in 2007. MiKeiya has volunteered on various Student Circle subcommittees and served as the Student Circle Fundraising Chair. MiKeiya’s service, commitment, and creative energy has helped strengthen the Student Circle’s fundraising efforts and secure resources vital to advancing Student Circle interest and activities. MiKeiya is the co-recipient of the ABPsi Student Circle BOD Excellence Award 2011.

MiKeiya is honored to serve as the ABPsi Southern Graduate Regional Representative. MiKeiya’s vision is to serve as voice for students within the ABPsi and beyond, assist students in securing information and resources vital to completing studies at the graduate level, aid in the establishment and maintenance of ABPsi chapters, and uphold the standards, vision, and legacy of the ABPsi. Though leadership and service MiKeiya has been afforded considerable opportunities for personal and professional growth and is grateful to serve the ABPsi.
